Like, what if your enemies are two people? Or three? Or what if the guy has a knife? Or if you're in a bar and the guy can grab a bottle of beer. You can too.One on one ground fighting BJJ is the best but the kind of fight you're talking about BJJ wouldn't be enough.
I would suggest Krav Maga for this kind of altercation. Although Krav Maga isn't useful in MMA as most of it is illegal.
Krav Maga is extremely useful at fighting multiple opponents. There's no good art and certainly not BJJ for multiple attackers with weapons. Use your common sense. Do you honestly want to grapple a guy with a knife? He might be easy to take apart but what if he's skilled with a knife? Do you want to get stabbed while tussling with him? Would you like to get bricks smashed on your head or eat the bottom of his friends' shoes when you're on the ground?
This question has shown up for the 100th time here. Do a search and you'll find all you need to know.I recommend learning some other self defense against more than one person (eg Bas Ruttens) but it can still be quite effective. Against weapons BJJ will work because you can control their body completely when you get them to the floor.if it is anymore than one opponent it would do u well to stray away from BJJ. when you are on the ground and there are multiple opponents you will simply get your head kicked. in general it is not a good idea to go down to the ground in a street or bar fight just because you don't know who is going to do what or who knows who. It's just better to be standing up were you are less vurlnurable to multiple attackersBJJ is a good art for self defense. But it is not know for being able to defend against multiple attacker or attackers with weapons. It is great for the octogon when you in the cage with a referee and have rules. It would be great if you were attacked by one person on the street.
I don't know if you watch the MMA, UFC or any of the type events. You may notice that the people that train in BJJ all must cross train in something else to give themselves a chance against a fighter that stands up and fight. BJJ main focus is to get you on the ground and knock you out or submit you. They are very good at that, but if they don't learn to fight while standing they will get knocked out before they can get you to the ground.Nope going to the ground with the one guy the other two, three, or however many are gonna be taking turns kicking the crap out of you.NO
BJJ pre-supposes only one unarmed opponent. It is utterly useless in streetfighting situations.
Learn to box. It will teach you how to move on your feet and how to run.Jiu-Jitsu overall is a good defense, but it is intend for more ground work than stand up. And therefore, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will not help at all. I would recommend, effective Kick-Boxing or Boxing. Once you develop a sense of good movement you can avoid average joe punches. But if you want to keep it foreign, then go for Taekwondo or Muy Thai. More Muy Thai because it has great attack points and also avoiding ones as well. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
